Ramlieh, Mount Lebanon, 2003

The Druze community of Ramlieh needed a hall to accommodate events in their village. The size of the hall required (550 sq.m) was out of scale in the village. We therefore broke down the scale of the building by designing the hall as a composition of blocks of village houses. This allowed the introduction of natural light into the heart of spaces, saving on the main energy use in such a project.

Area: 1500 sq.m.
